MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must be a graduate of a Paramedic course. Must possess a valid Georgia Paramedic license (or a valid National Registry Card and be eligible for licensure in Georgia. May NOT work on an ambulance until Georgia Paramedic license is obtained

- Respond to all calls for service dispatched from the National EMS communications center as directed.
- Provide care and treatment to patients according to company policy and the company medical director protocols.
- Ensures ambulance and all equipment is cleaned and checked daily. Any deficiencies should be reported immediately to the shift supervisor or Operations Manager.
- Prepares and completes appropriate reports including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, incident reports, daily, weekly and monthly unit check offs.
- Ensures unit and crew members adhere to National EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives and standards. Reports any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Operations Manager.
- Ensures vehicle placed in-service comply with required laws, rules license, and regulations as outlined by the State of Georgia and other authorized agencies.
- Prompt and regular attendance at work and mandatory meetings.
- Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while in company uniform either on or off duty.
- Self-motivated and requires little supervision and direction.
- Performs other such duties as may be required

National EMS was founded by Pat and Mary Ellen Atkins in 1976 and has been serving the citizens of Georgia with premier nonemergency and emergency 9-1-1 ambulance services in that time.
National EMS provides pre-scheduled ambulance services in a four-county area east of metro-Atlanta, Georgia. The company also is the contracted 9-1-1 emergency ambulance provider in Rockdale, Morgan, Oconee, and Athens-Clarke counties.
